What is deutschland class?

The Deutschland class was a series of three heavy cruisers built for the German Navy in the 1930s. The ships were designed to be fast and heavily armed, with a displacement of over 10,000 tons. The class consisted of the ships Deutschland, Admiral Scheer, and Admiral Graf Spee. They saw action during World War II, with Admiral Graf Spee being scuttled by her own crew in the Battle of the River Plate. The other two ships were later sunk by Allied forces. The Deutschland class ships were significant in that they were the first heavy cruisers built by Germany since World War I and represented a major step forward in naval technology for the country.
